Having over 25 years of experience in the film and animation industry, a unique outlook on art direction, casting, and shot selection is sculpted by years as a traditional animator. Successfully directing commercials and campaigns for the likes of KFC, Unilever, ING, Cadbury’s, LEGO, Ferrero, MERCK, Samsonite, Mitsubishi Electric, IKEA, Coca-Cola, Target, Pier 1, ChildLine, Yakult, Nestlé, Fanta, and Amazon. His work in slow-motion cinematography has garnered much recognition and accreditation, putting him in a category of filmmakers with a very specialized skill set, attention to detail, and flare for comedy means he is in constant demand from top advertising agencies worldwide. Originally from South Africa, Bernie has lived and worked around the globe, from Johannesburg to Paris, Auckland to Moscow, London to Stockholm, Prague to New York, and most places in between. Living and working in many diverse cultures ensures that Bernie always brings an international perspective to any project he is involved in. When he’s not traveling around the world, Bernie spends his time between Tokyo and New York City.
