M-J BOTHA has been weaving her magic and sprinkling her gold dust on creative concepts throughout South Africa, Europe, America, the Indian Ocean Islands, Kenya and Namibia for over 25 years while simultaneously keeping an iron fist control on the budget. She is totally committed to anticipating and interpreting the director’s vision culminating in an end result that surpasses his expectations. Whether working on a feature, commercial or any other visual genre, her positive “let’s make it happen’ attitude ensures that the project evolves to be the best that it can be. M-J’s talent and artistic expression is strongly underscored by her Graphic Art Diploma (Michaelis School of Fine Art, UCT), as is apparent in the versatility of myriad styles showcased in her work. Photography, in which she majored, remains a passion and one of her primary artistic expressions, however, she has embraced many art disciplines including Abstract Painting, Paint Effects, Jewellery Design, Interior Design and Landscape Gardening. Passionate about nature and the outdoors, M-J enjoys riding her Appaloosa stallion and training her highly pedigreed, award-winning German Shepherd dogs.
